Katherine Teats House, 3560 Seventh Avenue, San Diego, San Diego County, CA
Summary
Significance: Designed by internationally known architect Irving John Gill, who also designed several other houses on Seventh Avenue, this house was planned as one of a group around a common garden landscaped by Kate Sessions. Thus it is a forerunner to the nationally significant Lewis Courts at Sierra Madre, widely acclaimed at the time of their construction in 1910.
