Summary
Significance: The Knox County Courthouse, housed in the first floor, is significant for its association with the politics and government of Knox County from 1886 to 1906. After 1906, the first floor served various community uses including a post office for a number of years. The second floor of this building was occupied for many years by the Individual Order of Odd Fellows Lodge (I.O.O.F.) No. 82, one of the earliest lodges in Nebraska. The building is also significant as a representative example of local vernacular architecture with classical features.
