Kuenzi Barn, County Trunk EM, Watertown, Jefferson County, WI
Summary
Significance: This barn is one of few remaining examples of farm outbuildings built of German half-timber (Fachwerkbau) construction. The barn was built ca. 1850 of native white oak timbers held by mortise and tenon and then nogged with red brick. The plan includes two rooms separated by a center passage with a stair to the loft above.
