Summary
Birds-eye view print shows plan of the fortified city of Eger (now Cheb, located in the Czech Republic) during the siege in 1647. Text identifies locations of troops under General Wittenberg and troops gathered on Galgenberg with additional troop formations on Spitalberg. Around the perimeter of town are other troop formations, artillery and headquarters and locations where villages have been burned out. Key buildings are identified within the town as is the river Eger. Coat of arms of the city at top of print below the caption.
