La entrada a Ciudad Juárez canción popular. Al heroico Aquiles Serdán
Summary
Broadside shows bust portrait of Aquiles Serdán as well as masthead illustration. The broadside text, on recto, is two songs: one conveying the entrance of Maderistas--supporters of Francisco Madero--into Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and the defeat of Porfirio Díaz. The other song on the front is about the death of Aquiles Serdán (a close friend of Madero). Serdán and his family were the first to fight Díaz's army in Puebla, on November 18, 1910, at the beginning of the Mexican Revolution. Two days later, Madero confronted Díaz's army in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. Three other popular songs are printed on the verso: "The site of Ojinaga," "Honor to Roque Estrada," and "Maderismo triumphant."
