Significance: The district is locally significant as a commercial and social center in south central Oregon. The district is a reflection of Lakeview's growth and economic conditions during the first half of the 20th century. It is also significant for its concentration of early 20th century buildings that embody the distinctive characteristics of a rural historic downtown.
