Significance: Outstanding example of the Second Empire style and for association with prominent residents of Greenville; Charles Lanneau had the house built for him c. 1877; purchased by John W. Norwood in 1907; Lanneau was a prominent textile industrialist and Norwood was a prominent banker and businessman.
