To reduce the death toll from motor accidents by adopting uniform traffic regulations throughout the United States was the object of the subcommittee of the Accident Prevention Conference meeting today at the Department of Commerce. Secretary of Commerce Daniel A. Roper, (right) who addressed the meeting today is shown with Rep. Edith Nourse Rogers, Massachusetts, whose bill for an appropriation of $50,000 for, a national safety and prevention program, was passed by the last Congress; and Rep. Emmot O'Neal, of Kentucky
