Lomax, honorary consultant and curator of the Archive of American Folk Song, Library of Congress [and national consultant of folklore for the Federal Writers' Project], feels that it would not be worthwhile to record the songs proposed by Robert T. Thomas, assistant supervisor of the Negro Writers' Unit of the Florida Federal Writers' Project.
