Lives of the hunted by Ernest Seton-Thompson

description

Summary

Poster shows trees.

Date of publication supplied by Library staff.
An interesting cover design.
The design here shown is from the cover of Ernest Seton-Thompson's "Lives of the Hunted." It was Mrs. Seton-Thompson's idea. The Eye represents the spirit of cruelty to animals, and the Hand stands for the growing spirit of kindness. The hand is held in the "good luck position" so much used by the Italians, and pointing toward the Eye of Cruelty, is intended as a counter to the evil influence.
Forms part of the Artist poster filing series (Library of Congress)
