Lynwood Pacific Electric Railway Depot, 11453 Long Beach Boulevard, Lynwood, Los Angeles County, CA
Summary
Significance: Lymwood is one of the few remaining Pacific Electric passenger depots. It has survived the devastating Long Beach earthquake of 1933, neglect and vandalism and stands evidence of a part of greater Los Angeles and Southern California heritage. The style of the Lynwood Depot showing the influence of California architects Bernard Maybeck and Greene and Greene, is unique in that it apparently was never repeated in the Pacific Electric System.
