Significance: The two identical, 42,500-barrel, steel Fuel Oil Tanks #7 and #8 (originally known as #1 and #2) are each approximately 100 feet in diameter and surrounded by a 14 feet high concrete dike. They store fuel oil for delivery to the Station (HAER No. RI-35-A). They are significant as integral components of fuel supply for the plant's electrical power generation operations.
