description

Summary

Index data: 1-2, 4-5, Marie McCastor in her home (kitchen, living room with TV); 3, McCastor, Bell, Rovena Stewart (Community organizer); 8-11, Ext, McCastor home, West Broadway neighborhood; 12, The old "sailor's Y" -- now used by Newport community groups for office and workspace. Note red and green lamps at door; 13-20, Graves at the Common Burying Ground (I am unsure of this name) pointed out to Bell and me as being the "black section." Both stones in close up use the word "servant," but the one in 17-20 uses the words "Negro servant" (age 6)
