Summary
Significance: In 1883 the Spring Shoals Manufacturing Company was changed to McAden Mills and the town of McAdenville was incorporated. McAden Mill #2 was built during the years 1884-85 under the leadership of R.V. McAden. A circle of a 1-mile radius from the bell tower of the mill encompassed the limits of the town, and the mill complex has remained a significant influence upon the growth and progress of McAdenville through the years...
