Summary
A petition to the Pennsylvania State Legislature by free black citizens of Philadelphia protesting their disenfranchised status as a result of the city's Convention of 1832. Included are testimonials about the fitness and fidelity of African American troops, etc., indicating that blacks deserve better treatment and the right to vote.
