Summary
Significance: The T.R. Foster building was commissioned by the Inter-Island Steamship Navigation Company, one of the most successful steamship companies of the late nineteenth century, as a memorial to its founder. It was rented as a warehouse to Lovejoy, a shipping company, and subsequently served as commercial space for other businesses.
