He graduated at Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas in 1907 and at the Divinity School of Rock Island College, Illinois in 1913. Dr. Swenson is the pastor of his own church at 22nd and Freemont Streets, Minneapolis, and is the head of the seventy-two Lutheran churches in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul area. Throughout the state he is in charge of 334 congregations. Dr. Swenson himself was born in Kansas but his parents came from the province of Varmland, Sweden
