Miscellaneous design. A view of the Anderson County art center, a simple, homespun institution which represented the first formal recognition of area in the East Tennessee hill country. Exhibits were supplied generally by the Federal Art Project, although the work of local craftsmen, amateur artists, and school children was exhibited as often as possible
