Attorney General Frank Murphy today put in one of his rare appearances upon the Hill to endorse a bill proposed by Senator Robert M. LaFollette, Jr. to outlaw oppressive labor practices. He proposed, however, two amendments to the bill to clearly state that company guards with criminal records be declared illegal, and that suits to restrain oppressive labor practices be filed through the Justice Department rather than the Labor Department.
