Nassawango Iron Furnace, Furnace Road, 1.2 miles west of Maryland Route 12, Snow Hill, Worcester County, MD

Significance: The Nassawango Iron Furnace is a significant industrial landmark because it survives as a rare representative of the transition from cold to hot blast in American ironmaking. While only remnants of the bellows and water wheel exist at present, the hot blast stove remains intact on top of the furnace.
