Nation must make choice--Bernard Baruch Washington, D.C., Feb. 28. Appearing before the Senate Unemployment and Relief Committee today, Bernard Baruch, noted Financier, declared that the nation must choose between the "profits system and the hope of gain" and "the new European ideas of state regulation and fear of punishment". He added "that if it became clear tomorrow that Americans definitely chosen her traditional profits system, forces would be released that would rapidly hasten recovery and reemployment," 2/28/38
