One of the smallest boys I found at the Converse Manufacturing Co., Converse, S.C. just beginning to spin. 33 cents a day. Very few young children here but I was told it was due to the character of the work. The doffers are older than usual and get $1 a day and higher. Location: Converse, South Carolina.
