Summary
Significance: Architecturally, this structure is one of a handful of known extant structures that combine Scandinavian building traditions with Greek Revival detailing. Constructed by P.J. Almquist, a Swedish immigrant, it also served as his tailor shop. Built shortly after Waukon was platted, this structure may be one of the oldest residential-commercial buildings in the town.
