Summary

Significance: The Peavey Globe Elevator was one of several grain elevators built in the first half of the twentieth century on the opposing Lake Superior harbors of Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin. Other grain elevators in this area included Cenex-Harvest States Grain Cooperatives and Great Northern Elevator "S" in Superior, and the Peavey Duluth Terminal and Occident Terminal Elevator in Duluth.
