Summary

Significance: Only row houses in Nantucket; part of the Orange and Union Streets Neighborhood Study (MASS-1014). / The James Easton House, built as part of five row houses, by Philip H. Folger, was purchased by Easton, a Nantucket silversmith, shortly after its construction in 1831. A later resident of the house, Louise S. Baker, was a preacher at the North Congregational Church. The Easton House is the least altered of the "The Orange Street Block."
