Summary
Significance: Occupied by Wolferberger Variety store until 1856, then the Verandah Saloon; in 1863 it was occupied by the California State Telegraph Co., incorporated with Western Union Telegraph Co. in 1869 and occupying premises until 1915. Building is now a California Historical Landmark.
