Summary

Hand colored birds-eye view print shows view of the battlefield outside of the city of Höchstädt, Germany on August 13, 1704 when troops from the Austrian imperial army and its allies fought and won against combined French and Bavarian forces. Includes view of the Danube river along the right side, the city of Höchstädt at the top. Locations of troops and particular divisions are illustrated and listed on the print. Nearby villages including Ailgselheim, Schwaderling, Dapfheim, Schwiningen, Gremen, Feilsenhofen, Morslingen, Berghausen, Schwanenbach and Wolpersted are indicated. Descriptive text in scroll along the right side of the print next to an angel who holds a tablet with the print title caption.
