Summary

Title, date, and keywords based on information provided by the photographer.
Called "The Flat," by the townspeople and cattle ranchers who lived there, the town was an important watering and supply point along the so-called "Western Cattle Trail" up to Dodge City, Kansas. The townsite is now the property of ranchers Cliff and Lynne Teinert. Cliff Teinert restored or replicated most of the settlement's buildings.
