Photograph of plaster copy of a statue by William Hubard after an original by Jean-Antoine Houdon showing George Washington standing, dressed in his Revolutionary War uniform, holding a walking cane in one hand, resting his other hand on a fasces representing civil authority; statue was formerly located in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol but was moved to the Smithsonian American Art Museum in 1950.
