Summary
Significance: Building 2893 has served various functions since its construction in 1956. Its earliest use was as the temporary Crew Readiness Facility while Building 2895 was being constructed and made ready. In the 1970s, the building was used for squadron operations, and later for security police operations. It was later used as the Base Engineer Maintenance Shop. In that capacity, the building was used to oversee the organization and work program of the base civil engineer, including plumbing and hearing, carpentry, refrigeration, electrical, welding, sheet-metal, and painting.
