President Hoover proclaims "Century of Progress" fair for Chicago. President Hoover presenting to Rufus Dawes, brother of the Ambassador to England, a proclomation he has issued authorizing and inviting the public to attend the "Country of Progress" Fair to be held in Chicago in 1933. The citizens of Chicago have raised $5,000,000 for the fair. Dawes is president of the Fair while on the right is Maj. L.R. Lehr, General Manager [White House, Washington, D.C.]
