Production. B-24E (Liberator) bombers at Willow Run. A new B-24E (Liberator) bomber, named for Captain Eddie Rickenbacker and bearing his autograph returns to the airfield at Ford's big Willow Run plant after a successful trial flight. The Liberator is capable of operation at altitudes and over great ranges on precision bombing missions.
