A shipping department employee at the Inglewood, California, plant of North American Aviation drills holes in a shipping crate for a "Mustang" fighter for the Royal Air Force (RAF). This plant produces the battle tested B-25 battle-tested "Billy Mitchell" bomber, used in General Doolittle's raid on Tokyo, and the P-51 fighter plane which was first brought into prominence by the British raid on Dieppe
