Summary: Stapleford bought one lot of land from Thompson and gave him two promissory notes for $398.23. Stapleford failed to appear, and the court ruled for Thompson and awarded $463.73. Stapleford failed to pay the judgment, and the court sold the lot to Thompson for $493.63.
