Summary
Significance: It is not known whether the Fire Tool Equipment Shed was constructed as part of the Rabideau Civilian Conservation Corps Camp, which operated on the Chippewa National Forest until 1941. However, the structure appears on a site plan by the University of Illinois, dated August 1947. The university used the camp from 1946 to 1972 as a summer field school.
