Summary
Significance: The Wash House is believed to have been constructed in 1946 by the University of Illinois, with materials salvaged from buildings dismantled at the camp. In addition to laundry facilities, it originally housed a water heater which provided hot water to adjacent Barracks (Building No. 9, HABS No. MN-147-H; Building No. 10, HABS No. MN-147-I; Building No. 11, HABS No. MN-147-J; Building No. 12, razed).
