Summary

Significance: Probably built during the first quarters of the 19th century by a descendent of Captain Glode Requa Jr., who served during the Revolutionary War and was taken prisoner. The house is located on or near the site where Requa had his house. Glode Requa Sr., a Huguenot, coming from New Rochelle to Tarrytown in the 1720s, acquired the property in 1785, after having a leasehold previously. The property was sold by the Requa's in 1853 and is, since 1916, in the possession of the Lehman family...
