Summary
Significance: One of the most noted and fashionable of the 19th century resorts of Virginia, Salt Sulphur was noted for its gracious, quiet atmosphere and good food. It was a particular favorite of South Carolinians. The overall character is of sturdy, small vernacular buildings.
