Summary
Significance: This is an example of a small, simple, frame house of the mid-nineteenth century, with an unusually steep roof, which has given it its name of "Lightning Splitter" house.
Daniel Pearce built a one-story gambrel roofed house around 1781, and that building was rebuilt into its present form by Samuel Guild in the mid 1840s.
