Samuel J. Gibson diary and correspondence,

Diary (1864 January 1-December 24) kept by Gibson while serving with Company B, 103rd Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army. Documents the capture of the Federal garrison at Plymouth, N.C., April 17-20, 1864, and Gibson's life as a prisoner of war both on the march and at Andersonville, Ga., and Florence, S.C. Also includes a letter (1864 June 12) from Gibson to his wife written from Andersonville Prison.
