Summary
Photograph shows an interior view of Sanjūsangendō, in Kyoto, with a large display of many of the 1001 statues of Kannon, a Buddhist goddess. Watercolor drawings on the mount depict a man carrying a large bundle on his back in the upper right and the bundle, an axe, and a waterfall in the lower left.
