Significance: At the beginning of the twentieth century the Silver King Coalition Mine in Park City, Utah, was both the largest producer of ore and ore-concentrates in the region and the largest dividend-payer in the state. The covered tramway demonstrates standard ore-transport practices and reveals the level of automation achieved in early twentieth century mining facilities.
