Singer's Lake Crescent Tavern, Storage Building-Garage, Barnes Point, Lake Crescent, Port Angeles, Clallam County, WA

description

Summary

Significance: This building contributes to the integrity of design, workmanship, setting and sense of time and place of Singer's Tavern Group. / This building is reportedly built in 1930, however, there is little evidence to document its existence before the 1950s. Photographic and written data suggest that the building was created from two already existing buildings (an open-sided woodshed and a shed roof enclosed light plant shed), that may have both dated from the 1930s. Such an alteration would have involved the enclosure of the woodshed and the moving of the light plant shed to the side of the woodshed. In terms of scale, design, and materials, the building is presently compatible with the Singer's Lake Crescent Tavern building ensemble.
