Summary

Sketchbook contains mostly tropical pictures--landscapes or villages with a lot of palm trees, including some jungle drawings, all quite finished. There are a couple of work-related drawings as well, bridge and mining subjects.
Sketchbook housed in clamshell box labelled Pennell Collection Sketchbooks Nos. 14-16.
3373.11, 3373.12, 3373.15 have recto/verso sketches.
3373.1 drawn onsite at Panama Canal construction site, ca. 1912. Others in sketchbook are probably related.
3373.13 is related to Pennsylvania subject, Wuerth lithograph no. 174, "Old million eyes."
3373.1 is related to Wuerth litho no. 227, "Dinner Time, Gatun Lock."
Annotation in black crayon on sketchbook inside cover page: "There are Millions."
