Summary
Significance: Stockham Valves and Fittings grew from a modest early twentieth century company to become one of the world's largest producers of valves and fittings. Beginning in the mid-1920s, the firm utilized a unique mixture of state-of-the-art foundry technology and labor intensive manufacturing techniques to produce a wide variety of iron, bronze and steel valves and fittings.
