"Stratford Lodge" is the headquarters of the American Red Cross at the big American Base Hospital at Portsmouth England. The "Lodge" is not only business headquarters, but is also a club-house for the convalescent patients, and scores of them use it every day. It has reading rooms, writing rooms, a library, and a plenty of good company. The big house fronts directly towards the sea, where there is a fine broad beach and pleasant walks
