Sun cures for Kieff babies. During the Polish occupation of Kieff, the Ukrainian capital, the American Red Cross provided food and medical supplies for a children's hospital where babies crippled with tuberculosis were given a sun cure. There was such a scarcity of clothing that the naked bodies of the little ones were exposed to the hot sun for whole days at a time
