The old Sister shown in this picture is over 85 years of age and is a refugee from the invaded region. In escaping she went on foot for three days before she was found by an American Red Cross worker who placed her in a refugee train. She finally arriving at Lourdes, where she is cared for in the Convent in the court of which she is shown in the picture. This Convent is assisted by the American Red Cross in the care of refugees
