Summary
Cartoon showing Theodore Roosevelt sliding off the back of a beleagured looking elephant labeled "GOP" and whose hind legs drag ball-and-chains labeled "Cuba" and "High Tariff", he says, "I think I'll walk". "Trust", Roosevelt's travelling companion, an enormous man bursting with wealth, rides atop the elephant. A sign pointing to Washington shows the way across a weak wooden bridge labeled "Anti-Trust Sentiment". Off to the left, in the distance, is the U.S. Capitol above which is the date "1904".
