Summary

Significance: On original lot No. 54, of larger property known as "Peter Square", initially assembled by Robert Peter, first mayor of Georgetown. Built between 1812 and 1814 by Thomas Robertson, member of a prominent Georgetown family who was at one time Flour inspector, a high post in Old Georgetown. House was bought in 1831 by Charles Burnett, one of the leading silversmiths of his time.
